The construction in Italy
Job week with Anna and Dusan
We have already worked hard in recent weeks. The site has been excavated, the formwork has been placed and yes, there is concrete in it. The kennels have arrived, the planning has been made and today was the day. Our volunteers left for Vibo Valentia to help rebuild everything, so that the rescue puppies and adult dogs can stay dry and wind-free in their new kennels before the summer starts. Our puppy bus is also full of donations. Everyone who came by with food, blankets, baskets and collars......thank you very much!
It's always a treat for Anna and Dusan to see what's in the box for the dogs.
The preparations at Anna and Dusan
First the site was leveled and the layouts were made for the new kennels. Then we had to wait for the truck that would come and pour the concrete.
Unfortunately, on the agreed day it was raining and it had to be postponed, but last week the time came and the men worked hard so that the concrete was ready before our team arrived.
The preparations in the Netherlands
First the bus went to the garage for a check up, checking lights, oil, tire pressure, etc. so that the bus was ready to drive. Today the drivers came and they also brought donations with them. After some fiddling and pushing things back and forth, we managed to get everything together.
The others also started moving
Through wind and rain on the way to the airport. Claudia, Laura, Ria, Akke, Jose and Dennis. These toppers will start the big job together with Mieke, Paraz, Edwin and John. Bianca and Madelon will join the team of volunteers on Monday and with this enthusiastic bob the builders, things should look very different for Anna and Dusan next week.
